Crag Martin And Booted Eagle

Hi everyone, the other day my family and I went to a nearby town called Casares. We went in order to go on a nice hike, but unfortunately it did not work out. We were going to go into town and head to the tourist office to ask where we should go hiking in the area, but the tourist office closed. So I did a little birding in the tourist office parking lot (which is kind of sad but it was fun anyway). Suprisingly I actually picked up some good birds in the parking lot. I had several GRIFFON VULTURE fly overhead, which is a bird I have actually seen many times, but I have not positively identified it until now. So that means lifer 290! I also had some nice SARDINIAN WARBLERS in the parking lot, a bird with a grey body, black face, white throat, and  a red eye ring. After that, we walked to ruins which used to be a castle and is on a cliff. We were almost there and then I looked up and saw a beautiful light morph BOOTED EAGLE soaring overhead! Another lifer! Unfortunately, my camera died fairly quickly after I turned it on, (my apologies should have charged it more) so the photos on this post will be from the internet. Here is a photo of a light morph booted eagle.

Just a few steps away, I saw around 30 CRAG MARTIN flying around the cliffs. Life bird 291! Martins are very similar to swallows and swifts, and the Crag Martin is a martin that has 6 small white lines seen on the tail when it flies, which is how I identified it. Come to think of it, there is a good chance that martins are a type of swift or swallow. It was really cool seeing the martins land on the cliff, since martins, swifts, and swallows don't land as much as any other bird I know does. It's nice that I can just walk around a town and I can get life birds! Thats another great thing about this trip!
